Job Description

Baltimore’s Emergency Department is seeking an experienced ER RN for night shifts in a high-volume setting. The unit sees an average of 115 visits per day and maintains a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4. Responsibilities include triage, IV starts, phlebotomy, emergency medication administration, cardiac monitoring, and dysrhythmia interpretation.

Submission Requirements

• Minimum Experience: 2 years of ER nursing experience – REQUIRED
• Previous Charge Experience – REQUIRED
• Preceptor Experience – REQUIRED
• Certifications:
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS – REQUIRED
• CPI, MAB, TNCC – Preferred
• Skills & Qualifications:
• IV Therapy/Phlebotomy
• Emergency Medications & Continuous IV Sedation (Preferred)
• Triage (Preferred)
• Cerner Charting System (Preferred)

• Unit Beds: 27
• Daily Census: 115 visits/day
• Observed Holidays: Must work entire night shift before the holiday to qualify for holiday pay

This high-volume Emergency Department is equipped with interpretation services, radiology, social services, and transportation support. The unit caters to neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, and geriatrics, handling urgent and emergent cases daily.
