Mercy St. Louis Emergency Department offers a Graduate Nurse Residency – 16‑Week Program for full‑time nurses working nights (7am–7pm, three 12‑hour shifts). Upcoming residency starts are June 2027 and January 2027.

Eligible new grads will join a Level 1 Trauma Center with advanced adult ER care and strong mission alignment. Education includes graduation from an accredited RN program and active RN licensure (state or compact), with BLS required within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Must obtain/maintain a current RN license (state or compact).
• Must meet all state Board of Nursing requirements.
• BLS (AHA) required — or completed within 30 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care and maintain professional accountability.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
