Job summary

Mercy St. Louis Emergency Department is offering a Graduate Nurse Residency – a 16-week program for new RN graduates. This full-time night shift role provides exposure to high-acuity trauma care in a Level 1 center and includes mentorship and structured learning.

Upcoming start dates include June 2027 (and January 2027) with day-one benefits, tuition reimbursement, and a strong focus on patient advocacy, teamwork, and professional growth within Mercy’s mission-driven culture.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Must obtain/maintain a current RN license (state or compact).
• BLS (AHA) required — or completed within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
