Job summary

Peterson Health in Kerrville, Texas, is hiring for full-time Emergency Room RN, night shift 6:30 PM–6:30 AM. Three 12-hour shifts with a sign-on bonus for qualifying full-time ED RNs. Benefits include health, dental, vision insurance, 401(k) and PTO. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Texas RN license required.

The RN will assess patient needs, plan care, and document care in the chart, aiming for compassionate, patient-centered ED service and timely responses to emergencies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Texas RN licensure and CPR.
• ACLS and PALS within 12 months of employment, renewal within 2 months of renewal date.
• 1 year ED experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess the needs of each patient and plan care to meet their physical, emotional, and psychosocial requirements.
• Provide nursing care during shifts and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Document assessments, interventions and outcomes in the patient record.

What You Will Do

The Registered nurse is responsible for assessing the needs of each patient planning the care to meet the needs including the spiritual, emotional and physiological and psychosocial needs of the patients. The response to these needs are evaluated and documented in the patient record.

Required Education

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Knowledge and ability to perform the skills necessary for the unit specific competencies

TNCC ENPC

Required Licensure/Registration/Certification

Current Texas Licensure as a Registered Nurse and CPR. ACLS PALS within One year of employment, and there after renew within 2 months of recommend date of renewal.
