Qualifications

• Current Nevada RN license (noted compact license not applicable) and an accredited nursing degree.
• Basic Life Support and ACLS certification required.
• One year of experience preferred.
• ASLS certification preferred.

• Ability to work in a stressful environment with minimal supervision.
• Requires critical thinking and decisive judgment.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions, including meds, specimens, clinical treatments, and other care.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living (hygiene, nutrition, ambulation).
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate care, including transfers, discharge, referrals, and psychosocial support.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient/family and provides education.
• Advocates for the patient's physical and emotional well-being.
• Performs accurate patient assessments and identifies needs.
• Initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides care appropriate to patient condition and age.
• Documents medical necessity timely and accurately in the chart.
• Completes and revises the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments.
