Job summary

Medical City Weatherford in Texas seeks a Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with physicians and the care team.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
• RN license is required.
• Nursing Diploma/Degree (Diploma/AD/Bachelor) required.
• PALS/ENPC must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• No travel required.
• 1 year of experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management and reassess after interventions.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider; document care in the patient record.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and proactively anticipate needs to deliver care.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about condition, status, treatment plan, medications and side effects; translate complex medical terminology.
• Educate on non-medicinal follow-up measures such as diet, exercise, disease prevention, and self-management.
