Position Overview

This role involves assessing, planning, directing, and evaluating patient care in the Emergency Room.

Essential Job Functions

1. Provide age-specific and developmentally appropriate nursing care, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
2. Accurately document all patient interactions and care activities.
3. Monitor and record patient signs, symptoms, and behaviors.
4. Propose revisions to care interventions and outcomes as needed.
5. Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
6. Follow physician orders and hospital protocols.
7. Collect lab samples and perform tests according to policies and regulations.
8. Adhere to infection control and aseptic techniques.
9. Perform admission, discharge, and transfer procedures.
10. Participate in care planning and evaluation.
11. Prepare equipment and supplies for diagnostic and treatment procedures, assisting as needed.

Other Job Functions

1. Complete quality assessment activities and documentation.
2. Attend staff and mandated meetings.
3. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree (BSN preferred).
• Current RN license without sanctions.
• Minimum 2 years of full-time RN experience in ER or similar.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications (ENPC may substitute for PALS; TNCC preferred).
• Fluency in English, both written and oral.
