Job summary

Surepoint Medical Centers in Corpus Christi, TX seeks an RN with 2+ years of hospital-based Emergency Room experience to join our free-standing emergency room where every day is different and the team feels like family.

You will provide high quality patient-focused care under physician orders, serve as a liaison for clinical staff, and assist with labs and basic facility tasks. The role requires current Texas RN license and active ACLS/BLS/PALS certifications, with ability to work all shifts.

Qualifications

• Current Texas RN Nursing License or Compact State License in good standing.
• Two years of recent Emergency Room experience as an RN
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications
• Pass background check(s)
• Must have exceptional technical skills (IV, Foley, NG tubes, splinting, wound care, etc..)
• Ability to work in a high-pressure environment while maintaining excellent patient care and customer service
• Ability to work all shifts including day, evening, weekends and holiday hours as needed
• Effective team player
• Detail oriented with exceptional interpersonal communication skills
• Efficient time management skills with ability to anticipate workflow and perform synchronous tasks
• Basic typing and computer proficiency, preferably experienced with Windows, Microsoft Office, EMR/EPM systems
• Active participant and willing to learn and perform labs as ordered by physician
• Support and assist team with basic facility maintenance such as emptying trash, unpacking linens and orders received and keeping the facility tidy
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality patient-focused health care services under physician orders.
• Serve as point of contact for clinical staff and assist the physician/provider in monitoring staff.
• Maintain and operate EMR/EPM as required and ensure patient records are accurate.
• Assist with labs and basic facility maintenance as needed.
• Maintain a safe and clean care environment and collaborate with team on patient flow.
