Job summary

Valley Hospital Medical Center is seeking an experienced registered nurse to deliver safe, patient-centered care in a busy, acute care environment in Las Vegas, Nevada. You will provide clinical leadership to the care team, adhere to policy, and promote service excellence across all interactions.

The ideal candidate will hold an active Nevada RN license, BLS, ACLS (or equivalent pediatric/neonatal certifications), and at least one year of acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and completion of a Specialty course or equivalent.
• BSN preferred.
• One year acute care experience or successful completion of an approved specialty course.
• Current RN license in the State of Nevada.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Current ACLS Certification (adult patients), current PALS Certification (pediatric patients) or current NRP Certification (Neonatal patients).
• Note: An RN graduate may be eligible for NCLEX and must be supervised as required.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe, competent nursing care in accordance with facility policies, standards and philosophy.
• Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
• Oversees and guides employees under his/her supervision.
• Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.
