Job summary

HiredFirst is seeking an Emergency Department RN in Palatka, FL to join a 99-bed acute care hospital with a 24-hour ED, 10-bed ICU and cath lab. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, document findings, and collaborate with the care team to coordinate admissions and discharges.

You will educate patients and families, prepare for exams and treatments, supervise support staff, and ensure proper operation of clinical equipment while upholding quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing is required.
• Minimum 1 year of acute care emergency department experience.
• Florida RN license or approved multistate license; compact license holders must obtain Florida licensure within 60 days of relocation.
• ACLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• PALS certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care.
• Coordinate admissions and discharge planning with an interdisciplinary team.
• Provide patient and family education and guidance on condition management and self-care.
• Prepare patients for examinations and treatments; delegate and supervise support staff.
• Maintain proper operation of clinical equipment and ensure clear communication across nursing teams.
