Job summary

HiredFirst seeks an Emergency Department Registered Nurse for a 99-bed acute care hospital in Palatka, FL. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in a fast-paced ED, coordinating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure smooth admissions and discharges.

The role requires an ADN, at least 1 year ED experience, Florida license (or multistate with Florida licensure within 60 days). ACLS, BLS, and PALS must be obtained within 30 days of start date.

Qualifications

• ADN required.
• Minimum 1 year of acute care emergency department experience.
• Active Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license; compact license holders must obtain Florida licensure within 60 days of relocation.
• ACLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• PALS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualized patient care in the ED.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate admissions and discharge planning.
• Educate patients and families on condition management, medications and self-care.
• Prepare patients for examinations and treatments; delegate tasks and supervise support staff.
• Maintain proper operation of clinical equipment and ensure clear communication across nursing teams.
