Job summary

The RN assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for a group of patients while coordinating with an interprofessional team to promote positive patient outcomes. The role requires current PA RN licensure, BLS, and relevant certifications; inpatient and ER experience preferred, with strong communication and leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required.
• Strong leadership ability, good organizational skills, independent and critical thinking skills.
• Strong ability to communicate complex topics to a wide and diverse audience.
• A Nursing refresher course may be required if not working in acute care in 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for a designated patient group.
• Coordinate and participate as an effective member of the interdisciplinary team.
• Document patient care services by charting in records.
• Maintain patient safety by adhering to infection-control policies and regulations.
• Communicate actions and patient needs among nursing staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Support patients and families with education and emotional support.
