Job summary

Mitchell County Hospital Health Systems is seeking a full-time or part-time Registered Nurse to join the Emergency Department team on the day shift. The RN will deliver safe, high-quality care using the nursing process and communicate with physicians about patient conditions and results.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse license for the State of Kansas.

ER Charge Nurse Dayshift

Position Summary

Mitchell County Hospital Health Systems is seeking a full-time or part-time, day shift Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. This position is responsible for delivering safe, high-quality patient care using the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN provides direct patient care within their scope of practice and is accountable for the care delivered to patients in the Emergency Department. In this role, the RN communicates effectively with physicians regarding changes in a patient’s clinical condition, including diagnostic results and symptoms. The ideal candidate is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment, while maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality at all times. This position consists of 12-hour shifts from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with every third weekend and a rotating holiday schedule. MCHHS offers a weekend shift differential and additional incentive pay for extra shifts. This role may also be eligible for Student Loan Forgiveness with a three-year commitment. Cross-training to the Acute Nursing unit is required.
