Job summary

Troy Regional Medical Center is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. The RN will provide safe, high-quality nursing care to Emergency Room patients using the nursing process.

Responsibilities include assessing patients, educating families, documenting responses, and supervising staff, with ongoing communication of patient status. We require graduation from an accredited nursing school, an Alabama RN license, and BLS; ACLS and PALS are required by the

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current Alabama RN license.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS certifications required by end of 90 days.
• Minimum one year of nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective nursing care to all Emergency Room patients.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and reassessments based on data.
• Educate patients and families using teaching plans.
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions, treatments, and procedures.
• Supervise and direct assigned personnel in delivering patient care.
• Maintain continuous communication regarding patient status during care.
