Nutex Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist to operate X-ray equipment, position patients, and deliver high-quality diagnostic images. The role emphasizes infection control, patient comfort, and adherence to physician instructions, while monitoring for adverse reactions to contrast agents.

The candidate should have an associate degree in radiologic technology, ARRT and BLS certifications, and preferably one year of ER hospital experience.

Qualifications

• One year of experience preferred, including ER hospital setting.
• Associate degree or equivalent in Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT and BLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Position patients accurately for X-ray to target specific body areas.
• Regular warm-up procedures should be performed on equipment.
• Sterilize and maintain radiologic equipment to uphold patient safety standards.
• Interpret and follow the physician’s written instructions accurately.
• Assess films for technical quality and report any inconsistencies or deficiencies.
• Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and provide reassurance, ensuring a comfortable experience.
• Monitor patients for allergic reactions or complications and respond appropriately.
• Maintain an inventory of radiologic supplies and report shortages or needs to the supervisor.
