Job summary

Norman Regional Health System in Colorado Springs, CO is seeking a hospital pharmacist to join our clinical and distributive pharmacy teams. You will participate in clinical programs, process orders, dispense medications, and help maintain regulatory and educational goals to ensure safe, cost-effective therapy for all patients.

Qualifications include a PharmD or BS in Pharmacy, state licensure, and preferred PGY1 residency; candidates without may be considered.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or a Pharm D degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
• Experience: Preferred ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency or equivalent, but not required.
• Preferred clinical pharmacy experience in a hospital setting.
• Required licensure as a pharmacist and in good standing with the OK State Board of Pharmacy.
• Maintain preceptor license through the OK State Board of Pharmacy upon hire.
• Achieve/maintain ASHP-endorsed PGY1 residency program preceptorship upon hire.
• Strongly encouraged to achieve/maintain board-certification in related practice area.

Responsibilities

• Ensures age-appropriate, safe, and cost-effective medication therapies for patients.
• Participates in departmental targeted clinical programs as assigned.
• Process orders and dispense medications according to established policies, procedures, protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Administration of the ACGME accreditation and reporting requirements to external agencies.
• Contribute to the educational goals of the department.
• Enhance the performance, accuracy, and efficiency of pharmacy processes, to promote patient safety and improve outcomes.
