Job summary

TriStar Summit Medical Center is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to support daily pharmacy tasks, monitor therapies, advise on drug interactions and ensure safe dispensing. You will collaborate with physicians and nurses, maintain regulatory compliance and assist with inventory and quality improvement initiatives.

Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy with TN licensure is required; hospital experience is preferred to contribute to patient care in a busy emergency setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Licensure in the State of TN. Board Certification preferred.
• One-year hospital experience preferred. Residency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily pharmacy tasks including filling medication orders.
• Monitor patient therapeutic medications and provide drug information.
• Check medications, IV mixtures and compoundings prior to distribution.
• Consult with physicians and nursing staff on patient reactions and errors.
• Identify possible drug interactions and advise on alternatives.
• Support quality improvement, inventory management and ordering.
