Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is hiring a pharmacist to participate in clinical pharmacy services and support distributive pharmacy functions to ensure optimal patient care. The role focuses on safe, cost-effective therapies and implementing pharmacy programs across age groups.

The position offers a $20,000 sign-on bonus with relocation assistance and a comprehensive benefits package, alongside opportunities to advance within a teaching hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
• Experience: Preferred completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency or equivalent, but not required.
• Preferred clinical pharmacy experience in a hospital setting.
• Required licensure as a pharmacist and in good standing with the OK State Board of Pharmacy.
• Required to maintain preceptor license through the OK State Board of Pharmacy upon hire.
• Required to achieve/maintain ASHP-endorsed PGY1 residency program preceptorship upon hire.
• Strongly encouraged to achieve/maintain board-certification in related practice area.

Responsibilities

• Assures age-appropriate, safe, and cost-effective medication therapies for patients.
• Participates in departmental targeted clinical programs as assigned.
• Process orders and dispense medications according to policies and procedures, protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Supports administration of ACGME accreditation and reporting requirements to external agencies.
• Contributes to educational goals of the department.
• Enhances the performance, accuracy, and efficiency of pharmacy processes to promote patient safety and outcomes.
