Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a pharmacist to participate in all clinical and distributive pharmacy services, ensuring optimal pharmaceutical care for patients daily. The role supports program development, implementation, and maintenance of processes that promote safe and cost-effective drug therapies across age groups.

The position requires a PharmD or BS in Pharmacy with licensure and board eligibility; ASHP PGY1 residency or equivalent is preferred but not required; hospital

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or a PharmD from an accredited college of pharmacy.
• Experience: Preferred completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency or equivalent, but not required.
• Preferred clinical pharmacy experience in a hospital setting.
• Required licensure as a pharmacist and in good standing with the OK State Board of Pharmacy.
• Required to maintain preceptor license through the OK State Board of Pharmacy upon hire.
• Required to achieve/maintain ASHP-endorsed PGY1 residency program preceptorship upon hire.
• Strongly encouraged to achieve/maintain board-certification in related practice area.

Responsibilities

• Ensures age-appropriate, safe, and cost-effective medication therapies for patients.
• Participates in departmental targeted clinical programs as assigned.
• Process orders and dispense medications according to established policies, procedures, protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Administer of the ACGME accreditation and reporting requirements to external agencies.
• Contribute to the educational goals of the department.
• Enhance the performance, accuracy, and efficiency of pharmacy processes to promote patient safety and improve outcomes.
