Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a hospital pharmacist to participate in clinical pharmacy services, support distributive functions, and ensure safe, cost-effective medication therapies for all patients. You will help develop and maintain programs that promote positive outcomes through evidence-based drug therapies.

The role emphasizes collaboration across departments, adherence to policies, and ongoing education of staff to optimize patient care within a dynamic hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or a PharmD from an accredited college.
• Preferred ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency or equivalent.
• Preferred hospital clinical pharmacy experience.
• Current pharmacist licensure in good standing with the OK State Board.
• Maintain OK Board of Pharmacy preceptor license upon hire.
• Achieve/maintain ASHP PGY1 residency preceptorship upon hire.
• Board certification in related practice area encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Ensure age-appropriate, safe, and cost-effective medication therapies.
• Participate in departmental clinical programs as assigned.
• Process orders and dispense medications per policies and regulations.
• Administer ACGME accreditation and reporting requirements.
• Contribute to educational goals of the department.
• Enhance pharmacy processes to improve safety and outcomes.
