Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a pharmacist to participate in clinical and distributive pharmacy services, ensuring safe, cost-effective therapies for patients across all ages. The role supports development and maintenance of programs that promote optimal outcomes through evidence-based drug therapies.

The position emphasizes adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, with opportunities to contribute to education and process improvements within a hospital setting

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
• ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Preferred clinical pharmacy experience in a hospital setting.
• Licensed as a pharmacist and in good standing with the OK State Board of Pharmacy.
• Must maintain preceptor license with the OK State Board of Pharmacy upon hire.
• Must achieve/maintain ASHP-endorsed PGY1 residency program preceptorship upon hire.
• Board certification in related practice area encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Ensure age-appropriate, safe, and cost-effective medication therapies for patients.
• Participate in departmental targeted clinical programs as assigned.
• Process orders and dispense medications according to policies, procedures, protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Administer ACGME accreditation and reporting requirements to external agencies.
• Contribute to educational goals of the department.
• Enhance the performance, accuracy, and efficiency of pharmacy processes to promote patient safety and outcomes.
