Job summary

Saint Luke's Health System in Garnett, KS is seeking an ED Technician to support nursing staff with direct and indirect patient care in the emergency department. Responsibilities include bathing, hygiene, feeding, hydration, and ambulation, while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

As part of the ED team, you will perform regular rounds and maintain department competency, with opportunities for training. CNA/EMT certification or Fundamentals of Nursing course is preferred; training is provided

Qualifications

• BLS certification required or preferred (AHA/Red Cross).
• Nursing assistant or EMT certification, or Fundamentals of Nursing course equates to 6 months' experience.
• Six months' ED Technician or CNA experience preferred; training available if no prior experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, hygiene, feeding, hydration, and mobility.
• Perform regular patient rounds and monitor safety in the ED.
• Communicate effectively with the healthcare team and document care as delegated by RN.
