Job summary

SGMC Health in Valdosta, GA is seeking a Full Time Emergency Room support role to assist with patient care and procedures in the EMERGENCY ROOM. You will provide personal care, help with ADLs, and perform 12-lead EKGs, phlebotomy, and specimen collection under supervision.

Night shift hours offer stability and opportunities to develop skills while delivering compassionate care in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Certification as a CNA and phlebotomy experience are valued.
• CPR certification required or will be obtained.
• Experience in clinical/ER settings is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care and assists with ADLs.
• Performs 12-lead EKGs.
• Performs Phlebotomy and collects specimens.
• Obtains and processes specimens.
• Performs clerical duties.
• Assists RNs with patient care procedures.
• Conducts Cardiac Monitoring (Arrhythmia Recognition).
