Qualifications

• Required certifications: Tennessee EMT license and BLS.

Responsibilities

• Assists with patient care as directed by the Charge/Registered Nurse.
• Initiates and reassesses vital signs including pulse oximetry; documents findings.
• Positions patients for examinations and procedures; assists with transportation and identification of patients.
• Performs phlebotomy and adheres to safety standards.
• Provides orthopedic services after training, including splinting or cast removal as ordered.
• Performs EKGs per policy; documents observations.
• Demonstrates professional practice within the care team.
• Completes competency requirements.
• Performs other assigned functions as needed.
