Job summary

Bergen New Bridge Medical Center in Paramus, NJ is seeking a Patient Care Partner for the Emergency Department on the full-time evening shift 11A-11P. You will perform patient rounds, monitor vital signs, assist with ADL, and support clinical staff in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements include High School diploma, BLS, EKG and Phlebotomy certifications, and strong time management, organizational, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• BLS certification is required.
• Registered EKG certification required.
• Phlebotomy certification required.
• Strong time management is essential.
• Good organizational skills are required.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• English proficiency as required by the position.

Responsibilities

• Completes patient rounding every hour and checks on patient comfort.
• Assist with orientation of new PCPs as requested.
• Maintain departmental policies, safety, and infection control standards.
• Provide direct patient care including vital signs, EKG, phlebotomy, and ADL assistance.
• Perform one-to-one observations for selected patients.
• Set up, stock, and maintain examining rooms; check supply expirations.
