Job summary

Bergen New Bridge Medical Center in Paramus, NJ is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department on a part-time, 12-hour night shift. You will perform comprehensive patient assessments, deliver education, and coordinate care with the multidisciplinary team.

Requirements include 1 year of ED experience, NJ RN licensure, and certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS, IV Therapy). A BSN is preferred or enrollment in a BSN program. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• 1 year of Emergency Department experience
• Current NJ RN licensure and related certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS)
• Strong interpersonal skills and English proficiency

Responsibilities

• Initiates and documents patient and family teaching.
• Assesses patient needs and documents initial observations for immediate nursing action.
• Collaborates with the health care team and nursing leadership regarding changes in patient condition.
• Documents progress toward discharge goals and discharge planning in the medical record.
• Maintains infection control and safety standards in the unit.
