Job summary

Bergen New Bridge Medical Center in Paramus, NJ is seeking a Registered Nurse with ED experience for a full-time, on-site role. The position requires NJ RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and IV Therapy, with a BSN preferred or enrollment in a BSN program.

Qualifications

• 1 year ED experience required.
• Current NJ licensure as RN; BLS/ALCS/PALS; IV Therapy.
• BSN required or enrollment in BSN program with completion within 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Initiates and follows through with patient and family teaching.
• Identifies and documents initial observation and assessment for nursing action.
• Assesses nursing needs to detect changes in the clinical picture.
• Plans, evaluates, and documents care based on assessment.
• Intervenes and documents to meet educational, psychosocial, and discharge needs.
• Refers to other departments or outside agencies when needed.
• Communicates care information during shift reports.
• Collaborates with health care team and adheres to infection control.
