Job summary

Orlando Health, Inc. is seeking a Manager of Patient Access for on-site duties at Bayfront Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL. The role requires ED patient access experience and oversees a team across multiple locations within the Orlando Health system.

The position emphasizes department leadership, policy development, budget management, and interdepartmental collaboration to enhance physician and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Finance or equivalent.
• Four years of Patient Access experience with ER/ED exposure.
• One year of supervisory or lead experience.

Responsibilities

• Develops goals and objectives.
• Plans, organizes, and directs department activities.
• Establishes and implements policies and procedures for department operations.
• Responsible for the management of all staff on-site in Human Resource related functions.
• Reviews departmental performance and implements changes to improve services and workflows for satisfaction.
• Keeps administration informed of department activities and problems.
• Handles unresolved customer complaints to increase satisfaction.
• Prepares departmental budget and ensures operating within expense structure.
• Responsible for site accounts receivable and reporting.
• Maintains intra/interdepartmental communication and builds relationships.
• Provides vision and direction to Administrators.
• Ensures smooth flow of communication across Orlando Health facilities.
