Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care in the Emergency Department under RN/MD supervision.
• Supports nursing staff and collaborates with the healthcare team.
• Performs tasks within paramedic scope of practice, including physiologic monitoring, phlebotomy, and ACLS procedures.
• Maintains equipment, ensures patient safety, and communicates with RN to review delegated tasks.
• Assists with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges as per policy.
• Adheres to infection control, HIPAA, safety standards and institutional policies.
• Participates in mandatory in-services, orientation, and ongoing competency requirements.
