Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited EMS-Paramedic training program.
• Current licensure as an Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic (EMTP) in Ohio.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification through the AHA.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification upon hire or within one year.
• Clinical experience through an EMS Paramedic training program.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under supervision.
• Obtain and record vital signs.
• Perform EKGs, CPR, and phlebotomy.
• Initiate cardiac monitoring and oxygen therapy.
• Notify RN or physician of rhythm changes.
• Transport patients and specimens.
