Job summary
HCA Florida Woodmont Hospital is seeking a Paramedic to respond to emergencies and deliver advanced care during transport to the hospital. You will coordinate with firefighters and police, administer treatments, and guide EMTs to ensure patient safety throughout transfer.
The role requires Paramedic certification, BLS/ACLS, and PALS within specified timelines, with additional duties including manual handling and situational management in challenging environments.
Qualifications
- Paramedic license or certification current or within required period
- BLS and ACLS certifications required within specified timelines
- PALS certification or pediatric advanced life support required within specified days
Responsibilities
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide advanced critical care during transport
- Coordinate with firefighters and police at the scene
- Administer treatments and direct EMTs in patient care
- Perform invasive procedures under adverse conditions
- Manage non-medical situations such as crowd control and protecting patient property
- Lift and transport patients maintaining stability during transport
- Communicate patient data and condition to hospital staff
