Job summary

Wellstar Kennestone Regional Medical Center seeks an Emergency Department Paramedic to join a multidisciplinary team in the hospital's ED. You will support care under physician and RN direction, perform patient assessment, IV initiation, and assist with tests and monitoring.

Requirements include completion of an accredited paramedic program, Georgia license and national registry, ACLS/BLS/PALS certifications, and at least 2 years of field or hospital experience.

Qualifications

• Must have Georgia paramedic license and national registry certification.
• Completion of an accredited paramedic program is required.
• Minimum 2 years of paramedic experience in field or hospital.

Responsibilities

• Assist medical and nursing staff with ED patient care.
• Perform ECG and monitor cardiac status; input information to system.
• Initiate IVs and administer meds as directed by RN/MD.
• Transport and monitor critical patients; assist trauma/stroke alerts.
• Educate patients and families about care and procedures.
