Job summary

Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join the Emergency Department Observation Unit. The role targets Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants with ED experience, offering rotating 12-hour shifts and close collaboration with physicians and the care team.

The APP will evaluate and manage observation-level patients, perform comprehensive exams, and implement evidence-based treatment plans, ensuring safe, timely disposition.

Qualifications

• Experience in emergency medicine required.
• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication with patients and care teams.

Responsibilities

• Care for observation-unit patients in the Emergency Department.
• Perform histories and physical exams; develop evidence-based plans.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests; reassess and disposition patients.
