Job summary

Mercy Hospital St. Louis invites graduates to join a Graduate Nurse Residency in the Emergency Department for a 16-week program. This is a full-time night position, with 7am–7pm shifts described as three 12-hour blocks and start dates in June 2027 and January 2027.

You will apply the nursing process to patient care, uphold patient rights and confidentiality, and coordinate care with other departments while developing competencies in a high-acuity ED setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Must obtain/maintain a current RN license (state or compact).
• BLS certification (AHA) required — or completed within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
• Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments.
