Job summary

Mercy St. Louis Emergency Department offers a 16-week Graduate Nurse Residency in a full-time role with three 12-hour shifts. Start dates include June 2027 and January 2027.

The program emphasizes compassionate, high-quality patient care and adherence to Mercy standards. Requirements include graduation from an accredited RN program, current RN license (state or compact), and BLS certification (or within 30 days of hire).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Current RN license (state or compact) required.
• BLS (AHA) certification required or completed within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for assigned patients.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
