Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Buda is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department unit. The role follows our nursing practice model and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to deliver effective patient care.

The facility operates an 8-bed unit with 24/7 emergency services and pediatric to geriatric patient populations. The RN is expected to use the nursing process, develop care plans, monitor patient responses, and communicate clearly with families and staff.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nursing program or equivalent experience.
• RN Licensure required; BLS certification within 30 days of start.
• Field of Study: Nursing; minimum 2 years in a relevant role.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize needs and create, implement, and assess care plans.
• Observe indicators and support evidence-based changes.
• Create a caring, safe environment for patients, families and staff.
• Build professional relationships with boundaries; manage pain and promote healing.
• Educate and facilitate learning for healthcare team, patients and families.
