Qualifications

• BSN in progress; willing to acquire within 3 years.
• Six months of relevant nursing experience or participation in Nurse Residency Program.
• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) within 60 days of entering position.

Responsibilities

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation.
• Perform age- and disease-specific assessments independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes.
• Identify education needs based on age and disease.
• Develop a care plan with strategies and interventions.
• Formulate patient/family centered goals and outcomes.
• Communicate and implement the plan of care.
• Provide ongoing communication with patient, family, and healthcare team.
• Document assessments at the point of care.
