Job summary

Universal Health Services in Sparks, NV is seeking an ER Registered Nurse for a full-time night shift in a 24/7 emergency department. You will provide direct patient care, coordinate with ED physicians, and support triage for a wide range of emergencies including trauma and acute pain.

Qualifications

• Current NV RN License and active licensure.
• Two to three years of emergency department experience preferred.
• ACLS and PALS certifications required or within 6 months of hire.
• BLS certification current; extensive EMS background appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and adjust nursing plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Perform head-to-toe assessments across ages and reassess as per policy.
• Use triage to assign categories and prioritize care, monitor hemodynamics.
• Educate patients and families on pain management and care plans.
• Communicate changes in status with ED physicians promptly.
