AdventHealth Ottawa, Kansas, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the night shift to join our acute care team. You will perform comprehensive assessments, develop and revise care plans, administer medications, and educate patients and families.

Requirements include current RN license and BLS; ACLS preferred. One year of acute care experience is preferred. Join a supportive team focused on whole-person care and professional growth.

Qualifikationen

• Current Registered Nurse license required (RN).
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience in acute care setting preferred.
• English proficiency in reading, writing and speaking.

Aufgaben

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments across physiological, psychological, and social factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and regularly revise them.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and protocols; monitor for reactions.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and self-care.
• Collaborate with the medical team to coordinate care and ensure effective communication.
• Document care activities accurately in the medical record.
• Evaluate outcomes and adjust care plans to improve patient health.
• Ensure infection control and safety standards are maintained.
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and families.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to care team members; participate in performance improvement.
• Engage in ongoing professional development; respond to codes as needed.
