Job summary

LCMC Health is seeking an experienced ER nurse for a Nights shift in our Louisiana facilities. This role emphasizes compassionate, patient-centered care in a high-acuity Emergency Department environment.

Minimum licensure in Louisiana with BLS; ACLS required within 6 months for new grads. Per diem/Flex-PRN options may apply, with opportunities to collaborate across the University Medical Center system in New Orleans.

Qualifications

• Current Louisiana nursing license as defined by the LSBN.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• ACLS certification required within 6 months for new grads.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize, coordinate and delegate care touchpoints for patients.
• Maintain and advocate a safe environment for everyone.
• Monitor and engage with patients, families and care team during significant events.
• Prevent and treat wounds.
• Ensure infection control and environment of care requirements.
• Support continuity of care and clear communications for each patient.
• Consult with supervisor when tasks cannot be completed safely or promptly.
• Educate patients and families using appropriate resources.
• Assist team proactively to contribute to patient care.
