Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, CT is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department on a full-time night shift (7:00 pm–7:00 am). The RN will participate in didactic sessions and simulations to strengthen ED care for emergent and critical patients.

You will apply critical thinking to high-acuity cases, pursue trauma nursing certification with post-hire support, and benefit from specialty pay and RN Step Program pay, reflecting the center’s Level 1 trauma

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate’s degree in Nursing is required.
• Valid RN license in Connecticut.
• One year of Emergency Room nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engage in didactic learning sessions to enhance ED nursing skills using a simulation lab.
• Apply critical thinking to manage high-acuity and complex patients.
• Pursue trauma nurse certification with post-hire support for a Level 1 Trauma Center.
