Job summary

Talent One Services seeks an experienced Emergency Room Nurse Manager in Fort Walton Beach, Florida to provide clinical and operational leadership for a fast-paced ED. This full-time role supports evening and overnight operations and works with physicians, nursing leadership, and the Emergency Services Director to ensure exceptional patient care and efficient department performance.

Requirements include a BSN, Florida RN license (compact acceptable), PALS, and 2–3 years of ED leadership.

Qualifications

• BSN degree is required.
• Active Florida RN license including Compact/Multi-state.
• PALS certification required.
• 2-3 years of recent acute-care Emergency Department leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of ED operations, patient safety, and acute-care nursing practices.
• Ability to work a flexible evening/night schedule based on need.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and operational leadership for Emergency Department nursing services.
• Oversee evening and overnight ER operations, ensuring staffing, workflow, patient flow, and resource utilization.
• Supervise, coach, mentor, and evaluate ER nursing staff.
• Maintain a visible leadership presence and provide clinical support during high-volume periods.
• Promote safe, evidence-based, patient-centered emergency nursing care.
• Collaborate with the Emergency Services Director, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to improve performance.
• Monitor patient throughput, staffing, productivity, quality, and safety metrics.
• Identify barriers to ED flow and implement efficiency strategies.
• Lead quality improvement, performance improvement, and patient safety initiatives.
