Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA, is hiring full-time Registered Nurses for its Emergency Department, home to Hampton Roads’ only Level I Trauma Center. The department offers a fast-paced, high-acuity environment with a 53-bed ED and exposure to trauma, stroke, cardiac, and critical care cases.

Qualified candidates will have RN licensure, BLS, and a commitment to patient-centered care; BSN or MSN preferred.

Qualifications

• RN license required; BLS within 90 days of hire.
• NIHSS, TCRN, SCRN, TNCC, CEN, PALS, ACLS preferred.
• Emergency Department experience preferred; strong critical thinking needed.
• Rapid decision-making and teamwork in a Level I Trauma Center.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency care in a Level I Trauma Center.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for trauma, stroke, and cardiac cases.
• Provide patient-centered care in a fast-paced ED environment.
• Demonstrate clinical judgment and uphold safety standards.
