Job summary

The Registered Nurse (Hospital-Based) will deliver nursing care in the Emergency Department across multiple UofL Health locations in Louisville and surrounding areas. You will use nursing process and evidence-based standards to support patient safety and high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, medication administration, and care coordination with the care team, while guiding patients and families through admission to discharge with emphasis on safety and compassionate

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing is required; BSN preferred.
• Current KY RN license or compact license to work in Kentucky.
• BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications are required.
• Two years of acute care RN experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments across the care continuum.
• Administer medications per policy and document timely administration.
• Plan and coordinate care with the multidisciplinary team.
• Educate patients and families about care plans and safety.
• Collaborate with unlicensed staff to deliver safe patient care.
