Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking an RN leader to guide patient care using the nursing process within the Nurse Practice Act and related standards. You will delegate, direct, and collaborate with licensed and ancillary staff to achieve quality outcomes while respecting diverse patient populations and the department's strategic goals.

The role emphasizes continual compliance with regulatory standards, teaching, and interdisciplinary teamwork, with duties expanding as needed to support safety and patient

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification.
• ACLS within 90 days of hire; PALS within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to deliver patient care.
• Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies.
• Communicate, delegate and manage nursing team resources.
• Utilize data and knowledge to evaluate and promote change for better outcomes.
• Support patient satisfaction and staff morale; uphold professional nursing standards.
• Adapt care and communication to diverse patient populations and privacy considerations.
• Perform other duties as required.
