Job summary

Ochsner Baton Rouge is seeking an experienced registered nurse leader to guide patient care using the nursing process and uphold professional standards. You will delegate, direct, and support licensed and ancillary team members while ensuring quality outcomes.

You will model professional responsibility, adapt to diverse patient populations, and participate in unit and department goals. Strong communication, time management, and teaching skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• CPI Certification within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS within 90 days of hire.
• PALS within 90 days of hire.
• Certification in clinical specialty area preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to deliver patient care.
• Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies for diverse patients, families and disciplines.
• Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources and lead interdisciplinary team.
• Utilize data and knowledge to evaluate and promote changes for optimal outcomes.
• Enhance customer satisfaction and staff morale; uphold professional nursing standards.
• Respect privacy and tailor explanations to patient populations.
