Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• WA RN license upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) upon hire.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 60 days.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 12 months.
• Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course within 12 months.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Administers, oversees and documents administration of medications (topically, orally, intramuscular, subcutaneous, intravenous) as ordered by the practitioner and per hospital policy.
• Assesses patients across physical, psychosocial, cultural, behavioral/emotional, developmental and spiritual needs and plans care accordingly.
• Gathers data, implements interventions, evaluates outcomes, and coordinates discharge planning.
• Documents care and patient status using the nursing process and responds to physician orders in a timely manner.
• Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
