Responsibilities include comprehensive assessments, care plans, interdisciplinary coordination, and patient education to ensure safe transitions after discharge. Night shifts and rotating weekends are typical.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of recent acute care ER RN experience.
• Active Florida RN license, multistate license, or eligibility to obtain Florida licensure prior to start.
• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certifications required within 90 days of hire.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, triage, and provide nursing care for patients across all acuity levels.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond quickly to changes in status.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Educate patients and families and provide discharge instructions.
• Document all patient care activities accurately and timely.
• Promote patient safety while managing multiple patients in a fast-paced ED.
