Job summary

Inova Alexandria Hospital is seeking an experienced registered nurse transitioning to the Emergency Department through our Fellowship program starting March 15, 2027. Eligible nurses may receive sign-on and relocation bonuses.

The fellowship is full-time with rotating mid shifts (1pm-1am and 3pm-3am) during orientation, with possible rotation through days, mids, and nights. Inova is a Magnet-recognized 318-bed hospital known for safety, quality, and patient experience.

Qualifications

• RN with minimum 1 year of acute care experience
• BSN from an accredited school; ADN with BSN required within 5 years of start date
• RN license or eligibility to practice in Commonwealth of Virginia as an RN
• BLS for Healthcare Provider certification required
• Proficient in English; strong communication and interpersonal skills; proficient computer skills

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, patient- and family-centered care in the ED fellowship setting.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate care and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in transition to ED specialty and fellowship activities.
• Adhere to standards, guidelines, and pathways for ED care delivery.
• Engage in continuous learning and quality improvement initiatives
