Job summary

Inova Alexandria Hospital is seeking an experienced RN to transition to the Emergency Department through a Fellowship program starting March 15, 2027. Eligible nurses may receive sign-on and relocation bonuses.

The role is full-time with mid shifts (1pm-1am) and swing shifts (3pm-3am); orientation may include days, mids, and nights. Inova emphasizes safety, quality, patient experience, and rewards for team members.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year RN experience in acute care.
• BSN from an accredited school; ADN may require BSN within 5 years.
• RN license or eligibility to practice in Virginia.
• BLS certification required by American Heart Association.
• Excellent English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination.
• Support Overflow unit and behavioral health nurses for non-emergency patients.
• Deliver patient care in a patient- and family-centered manner.
• Apply an integrated approach toward patient outcomes.
• Use standards, guidelines, and pathways for care delivery.
